From its very cover it radiates a woman’s point of view, the choice to be both seductive and witty. 2004年ベルギー、アントワープで創刊された雑誌『A Magazine』の第5号。「アントワープ・シックス（Antwerp Six）」と呼ばれる、ベルギー人ファッションデザイナーのグループの一人であり、また教育者でもあるウォルター・ヴァン・ベイレンドンク（Walter Van Beirendonck）によって生まれ、毎号著名なデザイナーをキュレーターにとして招き、シーズンごとに新しいコレクションを作るように誌面で表現されてきている。 今号は、ファッションブランド「Martine Sitbon」を創設し「Rue du Mail」や「Chloé」のデザイナーを務めたモロッコ生まれのデザイナー、マルティーヌ・シットボン（Martine Sitbon）が担当。本誌初の女性ゲストキュレーターとなる。表紙からはデザイナー自身の魅惑的でウィットに富んだ特徴が感じられる。 ポール・マッカーシー（Paul McCarthy）、アネット・メサジェ（Annette Messager ）、ジム・ダイン（Jim Dine）らアーティスト陣、モデルのイリナ・ラザレアヌ（Irina Lazareanu）とフォトグラファーのジャン＝フランソワ・ルパージュ（Jean-François Lepage）によるコレクション・ショットなど、様々なゲストを迎える。 「マルティーヌは、ルイス・キャロルのファンタジーとブロンディーのエネルギーを完璧にミックスしたような人物であり、それこそ私たちが本号に求めていたものである」－ ナタリー・アワーズ（Nathalie Ours / A Magazine Curated By 編集長）
