A new platform project of photobooks, NEOTOKYOZINE is published in 2020 by G/P + abp in collaboration with FUJI XEROX.

Behind the rise of zine culture and art book fairs held around the world is not only growing interest in photo books and art but also the evolution of digital output machines that have enabled high-quality printing at low cost.


G/P + abo has been publishing Photobook in a conventional way until now, but this time, with cooperation with FUJI XEROX, using the latest on-demand printer Iridesse, we adapt a just-in-time system that can produce only required copies at the required time.
NEOTOKYZINE is a project that tried to enable photographers and artists to use and collaborate on this new system.

NEOTOKYOZINEは、2020年に、G/P＋abpがFUJI XEROXとのコラボレーションにより出版する、写真集のニュープラットフォーム・プロジェクトである。世界中で開催されるアートブックフェアの盛り上がりとZineカルチャーの興隆、これらの背景にあるのは写真集やアートへの関心の高まりだけではなく、安価に高品質な印刷を行うことを可能にしたデジタル出力機の進化がある。
G/P+abpは、これまで従来のスタイルの写真集を発行してきたが、FUJI XEROXの協力のもとで、最前線オンデマントプリンターIridesseを利用し、必要数に応じた部数のみを継続的に制作できる仕組みを取り入れた。その新たなシステムを、写真家、アーティストたちが活用、コラボレーションできるよう試みたのが、このNEOTOKYOZINEプロジェクトである。
